AUSTIN — Texas A&M junior Sydney Pickrem won the women’s 200-meter individual medley in 2 minutes, 9.92 seconds on the second day of the TYR Pro Swim Series at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center on Friday.

A&M junior Monika Gonzalez-Hermosillo placed seventh (2:17.22) and senior Bethany Galat eighth (2:17.32) behind Pickrem.

Also for A&M, junior Claire Rasmus placed sixth in the 100 freestyle (55.56). Senior Jorie Caneta placed seventh in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.12) and sophomore Anna Belousova took eighth (1:10.00). Freshman Joy Field placed eighth in the 800 freestyle (8:52.06), and senior Lisa Bratton played eighth in the 100 backstroke (1:01.30).
