The Auburn women’s basketball team doesn’t have to worry about Chennedy Carter in Friday’s quarterfinal game in the Southeastern Conference women’s basketball tournament, so it’ll try to slow down sophomore post Cierra Johnson.

Several Aggies had big games Sunday in NFL openers led by Denver defensive end Von Miller and Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett. Others shining were Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans and safety Justin Evans, and Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Texas A&M’s Christian Kirk at the NFL Combine on Saturday did 20 reps on the bench press, one of the best showings by the wide receivers. West Virginia’s Ka’Raun White did 24, Memphis’ Anthony Miller 22 and Missouri’s J’Mon Moore 21.

Here’s how some Aggies in the NFL fared in the NFL’s Week 2 (I'll add info for offensive lineman when stats become available).

In case you wonder how I voted this week .... Oklahoma scored a big win for the Big 12. I moved TCU in with its road victory at Arkansas. I loved Clemson’s defensive effort, and good win for Georgia. I moved Louisville way up, but it also started strong last year. Southern Cal bounced back f…
