The Texas A&M Aggies were picked as favorites to win the Southeastern Conference soccer title in the preseason coaches poll.
It marks the second time in their eight years in the SEC the Aggies were tabbed as league favorites.
A&M was picked first in 2013 and slotted in the No. 2 spot the six other seasons.
A&M was followed by South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Florida,Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Alabama, Missouri, Mississippi State, LSU, Georgia and Kentucky.
Texas A&M returns 16 letterwinners from the 2018 campaign, including nine players who started at least half of the games. The returnees account for 40 of the Aggies’ 49 goals from last season, led by Ally Watt with 15.
A&M was 17-5-1 last season and finished in a tie for third in the SEC at 6-3-1.
A&M opens on Aug. 22 at Santa Clara.
