Pompeo on campus: More than 1,500 people filled Rudder Auditorium on the Texas A&M campus Monday afternoon as U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo delivered remarks that weaved reflections on public service with comments on some of the United States’ most pressing relationships with foreign nations and entities. 

Baseball rankings: The A&M baseball team is ranked a season-high ninth, and Robert Cessna writes that the next two weekend series are pivotal for hopes of making a national top eight seed.

Softball draft: A&M senior Riley Sartain, who plays third base and shortstop for the softball team, was selected by the Aussie Peppers with the 18th overall pick in the 2019 National Pro Fastpitch Draft on Monday. The Peppers will play in Mankato, Minnesota.

Tennis honors: Riley McQuaid, a sophomore on the A&M women’s tennis team, was named to the Southeastern Conference community service team. Kevin Lam, a senior on the A&M men’s tennis team, also was named to the SEC community service team on the men's side.
