Bear Bryant crop

Feb. 8, 1954: Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant arrived at Easterwood Airport and was greeted by cadets. He made a speech during Yell Practice at the Grove, according to Pride in Aggieland by Homer Jacobs. Bryant threw his tie on the stage and talked about beating Texas annually.

Bryant coached the Aggies through the 1957 season, before taking the coaching job at his alma mater, Alabama.
