Rick Trevino

Former Texas A&M student and singer-songwriter Rick Trevino Jr.

May 16, 1971: Rick Treviño Jr. was born. The singer-songwriter attended Texas A&M and signed with Sony Music in the early 1990s. His self-titled sophomore album was certified gold in 1994. In 1996, he had a No. 1 hit on the Billboard country charts with Running Out of Reasons to Run. He joined the supergroup Los Super Seven for the 2001 album Canto. Trevino played the First Yell 2012 concert at Kyle Field before A&M's first SEC game against Florida, along with fellow Aggies Robert Earl Keen and Granger Smith.

May 16, 1942: 529 commissions were conferred to the class of 1942 as Aggies prepared to enter World War II.
